BPC-157 dose calculator, in micrograms.

BPC-157 is where the mg/mcg mistake happens most. The vial is in milligrams, the dose is in micrograms, and a thousand sits between them. This keeps them straight.

The thousand-fold trap

A 5 mg vial is 5,000 mcg. A 250 mcg dose is 0.25 mg. Type 250 into a calculator set to milligrams and you've asked for fifty times the vial. This tool defaults BPC-157 to micrograms, and the mg/mcg toggle is right next to the number so you can see which one is lit.

Worked example, 5 mg vial in 2 mL (2.5 mg/mL)

At 1 mL of water (5 mg/mL) every unit count halves: 250 mcg is 5 units, 500 mcg is 10.

Daily schedules and vial life

BPC-157 is usually discussed on a daily or twice-daily schedule rather than weekly, so the "vial lasts" number is in days as often as weeks. Set doses-per-week to 7 or 14 and the calculator converts.

Whether BPC-157 does anything, whether to use it, or what the right amount is. An FDA advisory committee voted in July 2026 to recommend it for the compounding list; that vote is non-binding and rulemaking has no deadline. Research vendors sell it as a research material.
